These eclectic homeowners were looking for an industrial style kitchen that allowed for easy access to their busy family of four. Considering their need for a family gathering space as well as the ability to entertain, Stalburg Design removed the wall between kitchen and dining room and created a seated banquette from custom cabinetry to match the taupe shaker style kitchen cabinets. We built walls alongside the pantry and refrigerator to allow for Edison-bulb sconces to hang, providing ambient lighting when guests arrive. The stainless steel apron front sink and appliances shine against the matte army green oversized glass tile. Finally, a custom built buffet finishes the look with hammered pewter hardware and soapstone top. The result is a place where homework meets holidays, where metal meets mealtime.
