For this family Great Room, we restructured a dated space to create several new zones of use. Completed in July 2021, we demolished the large stone fireplace and hearth, removed tile flooring at the bay window, added a complete new sound system, recessed lighting and chandeliers, and completely renovated the existing bar. Originally a small inset area, this peninsula bar kept homeowners trapped on one side with guests blocking them in, while visitors lined up side by side. By creating a new entrance from the Foyer, the space is now clearly defined for the homeowner to access while guests have the ability to congregate in a more natural way. There are now spaces to read, relax, entertain or chat by the fire. And for summer, we finished off the entire space for direct access to the outdoor living and pool side with a custom glass nano-wall. For all seasons, this renovation makes a grand statement!
