Glenhurst Transitional

Working from home while staying at home became the new norm for so many of our clients beginning in 2020. While creating this shift, we sought out and adjusted a variety of spaces to create this beautiful family renovation! Completed in 2022, this home renovation included most of the main floor, as well as half of the second floor. We reconfigured and relocated many areas of this family home to accommodate for multiple people and their working/living requirements during various parts of the day.

Main Floor: We reconfigured half of the living room to be a new home office as well as provided ample laptop storage and workspace at the kitchen island. Our client who now works from home spends his lunch hour at the island in the kitchen checking emails and keeping up with his busy day. after work hours, we facilitated a greater connection between the living room and the kitchen, so as to allow for gathering and socializing. The dining room now has a complete custom built-in bar for those special nights at home with guests.

Second Floor: Meanwhile, with both kids away and graduated from college, it was time to reconfigure the second level. We combined the master suite with part of an additional bedroom to create a larger and more expansive bathroom and closet. By reconfiguring the kids bathroom and an additional bedroom, we were able to create simple and effective storage for laundry in the hallway, as well as provide an en suite bath for guests in another bedroom.

We are thrilled to share the results!
